There are a lot of myths and legends on the islands of Britain and Ireland that are deep rooted and, to some extent, wholly believed and perpetuated as fact. Some of them transcend national folklore and have become known internationally and intertwined with their own folklore. A lot of British folklore originates from Cornwall and Scotland.
